  I rarely rate anyone especially negatively but this guy is really scary. First of all don't take my word for it check out the local courthouse schedule of hearings he's got several claims against him and that's putting it mildly. I bought a gun from him that I didn't receive for almost a year. I went in there more times than I could count asking what the hold up was. I always got a dirty look and short answer and normally he wasn't even there. Every time I went in he had some story like the gun was on its way according to the manufacturer. I finally got a hold of the manufacturer they said he ordered a gun that had been put in hold for further testing. So I told him this and he reordered a new similar gun that also didn't get in in time. I suggested maybe he did something wrong ordering it. He got mad. Once again my calls to the manufacturer found the problem. He had ordered with the wrong item number. Even though once again he told me the gun was on the way it never left the warehouse. One of the higher ups there actually talked to him about how he was treating their customers and he tried to blame it on me. He said that when we changed my order (due to him ordering the gun on hold) it was just cause I'd changed my mind. She wasn't buying it cause she knew what had happened and let me know he was lying. I'm a good hard working citizen as well as combat veteran. I always felt like he was treating me like a punk just cause I wasn't one of his local buddies. Just go to this guy at your own risk. It was the worst experience I ever had buying a gun anywhere. Also don't go by the Facebook reviews those are his buddies I was talking about.

  First of all this is Lloyd Elliott not Irene. I booked with Honey Lake Outfitters 3 years ago for a deer hunt. It took me the ensuing years to get drawn. When I did get drawn, in 2017, I called Jeff to let him know, we had talked over the phone several times over the years. I was told at the time he would get back to me because he had just had a personal tragedy.
  Well the call never came. NOT EVEN YET. I called his cell and his shop many times always with the result of no answer or he is not in he will be here in the morning.
  I talked to a friend who was hunting with him and he told me i was scheduled for the Wednesday after opening day. So I had left the whole opening week open because at this time i still had no idea what was going on. Finally when season opened my friend said try texting him he usually answers them. So I did.
  Finally on the third day of the season I get a text saying you are scheduled for Saturday, not Wednesday as he had told my friend.
  i texted I could not do it on Saturday and he said ok the following Wednesday. I said ok were do i meet you and he said at the hotel. I asked witch hotel and again he went incommunicado. Again no answer. The next day I decided I had had enough and texted I could not make it and could I have my deposit back. He texted back "no problem sir." It is February and i have not heard from him since.
  All he had to do was say he was not going to hunt send me my deposit initially and i would have understood set up my own hunt and not wasted my point. I am 74 years old. What are the chances of getting drawn again and hunting in CA.
  If you want to be treated like this go ahead and book.
